Devin Hansen

Devin started playing drums at 3 years old with Tiny and the Heartbeats, lead by Dan Whitley.  He made his television performing debut at 6 years old on KSL's "Fit Kids Utah" show. Later in junior high and high school, Devin played for jazz band and concert bands. He was the drummer for his high school musicals at Olympus High School and was featured in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, which got an award for Best Utah High School Musical in 2006. Devin has played in various bands, recorded single tracks and albums and has performed all over Utah. He continues to share his love of music with others.

"I love music, it is my life and what makes this world spin. Without it, I wouldn't be where I am today if it wasn't for Dan Whitley Music."

Music Tips

Vocal Tip

Children under 12 who learn voice have a tendency to raise their chin and yell their music. Amateaur music teachers in elementary schhols and church groups tend to tell the kids to sing louder. The focus should be on keping your chin down, open your mouth wide and use plenty of air, but don't yell. And of course, come to the 7 a.m. Saturday vocal class and get one of Dan's Notable Youth singing books.
