Dan specializes in vocal training and is now focusing on students ages 12 and under. He likes to teach instruments and voice simultaneously having made remarkable breakthroughs with young students.
The following are just some of the many musical projects and educational pursuits Stan has been involved in:
Winn, pictured here with her husband Eddie, loves to teach piano. She has 50+ years of musical experience and training. She is highly educated and has been teaching private and group piano since 1957. She has also directed local and regional church choirs.
Keith is a voice and piano teacher. He has performed with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. In Europe he studied the "Kodaly Method". Keith is one of the first music teachers in the United States who studied music education in Hungary under the master teachers whom Zoltan Kodaly selected to work with him. After obtaining his PhD in philosophy and linguistics, Kodaly went to Paris and studied the music of Claude Debussy. His "Kodaly Method" has now spread throughout the world.
Michael has been teaching at our Studio for about 6 months. He understands the importance of practice and dedication. Michael has a knack for music and his love for music enables him to teach so that his student's understand and also learn to appreciate music.
Dave first took drum lessons from Dan at age 14. It wasn’t long before he played in the band program and got invited to perform with Dan and Mark Seamons (renowned pianist) in a professional setting. Later he had the exciting opportunity of performing in two music videos with the Osmond Boys Second Generation. Dave has since played in numerous bands along the Wasatch Front always looking for opportunities to play with the best musicians in varying genres and styles to develop his experience and skills. 
Devin started playing drums at 3 years old with Tiny and the Heartbeats, lead by Dan Whitley. He made his television performing debut at 6 years old on KSL's "Fit Kids Utah" show. Later in junior high and high school, Devin played for jazz band and concert bands. He was the drummer for his high school musicals at Olympus High School and was featured in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, which got an award for Best Utah High School Musical in 2006. Devin has played in various bands, recorded single tracks and albums and has performed all over Utah. He continues to share his love of music with others.
Garrett Breeze is a Media Music Studies major at Brigham Young University. He was a co-arranger for the BYU Young Ambassadors newest show, "Harmony: The Music of Life" which is currently being recorded for release by Tantara Records, and set to tour extensively throught the United States, South Africa, and China. He is also band director/arranger for the North Central Descants, winners of the 2010 ISSMA Indiana State Show Choir Championship. Other projects include film scoring for the Purdue University-based Level 3 Production Studio and an original composition for the BYU Symphonic Band, funded by a grant from the Office of Research and Creative Activities at BYU. As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Garrett has been a full-time missionary in Sweden, an EFY counselor, and a temple worker. Mentors have included Dick and Carol Dennis, Mike Akers, Rick Granlund, Jim Beckel, Mike and Pam Runyan, Randy Boothe, Will Kimball, and Ron Simpson.
Gary is from Northern Viriginia. He played a variety of instruments in school including french horn and guitar. He plays bass and guitar professionally and has traveled the world. He came to the Whitley Studio folk band in 1993 and has been a friend and valuable musical associate ever since.
